I forgot to show you!

I cant believe I forgot to show all of you a custom wreath I did several weeks ago!
Oswald the Walrus!
This was for a friend of the family and I think it came out adorable!

I love how it looks like he is playing in the snow!
Button stems, glitter foliage and glittery snowflakes... and of course pom poms!

I am working on a custom bat wreath idea right now for a friend. I will more than likely be making another one of the design since her idea is so cute! Black and orange with touches of purple and green! Bertie the bat will be hanging upside down!

Smorgasbord of Stockings!

This is definitely a smorgasbord of Stockings!
These are the pocket peeper stockings I have cut out for this season! (If you aren't familiar with a Pocket Peeper Stocking you can see them HERE) All of them have coordinating pom pom trim and ric rac. Lots of options this year!
Since they are all still in pieces you can see the stocking is folded over and the fabric cuff is laid on top.
Most all of these also coordinate with tree skirts which are still in progress! There are only one or two stockings that are stand alone designs which I don't have tree skirts designed.
More color options this year and more fabric combinations! I am so excited!
I know I haven't posted much but I wanted you all to see I truly am around and working!
Have a wonderful Monday!

Baby Owl Sets!

Its strange how I always feel compelled to take photos before they have their pupils or wings stitched on. Yes, its creepy and a little "soulless doll" and flightless bird looking, but thats the stage I am at in sewing so thats the photo you get! :)

I am working on baby owls so I can situate them in to Baby Owl Ornament Sets!

I promised more ornament sets this year and I am working on it! I will have them out in the next couple of weeks!

The baby owl sets will have one of each color and the combination in the sets will all be a little different. Right now I am working on Magenta, Pink, Goldenrod, Green, Red, Plum, Teal and Blue!
Back to sewing to make them a little less creepy!

We're Back!

We are back from our belated Honeymoon!
We went to Vegas for five days. We saw shows, drank surprisingly good drinks for free and gambled!
This photo is us outside of the Venetian where we stayed! Beautiful! It was hotter than hades and dryer than well... it was dry.
Being in Florida we are used to the heat, but this was really really a dry heat!
It is easy to forget how desolate the desert is when you are in a place like Vegas!
We had so much fun but are very glad to be home!

Its beginning to look a lot like...HOT

Image Found HERE (Check out the Red Velvet Cupcake Recipe too!)
I wanted to discuss goals, Plans and the upcoming Holiday season!
Firstly, I have to say that I know a lot of people are having a difficult time getting in the mood for making fuzzy warm items cooler weather and the Festive Holidays due to it being so darn hot! My family is from Kansas and they are breaking our heat index down here in Florida! They are in the 100's for the actual temp! Wowza!
Try to stay cool out there!
On to discussing Goals.
I normally try to assign a goal for my holiday seasons whether a dollar amount of a specific number of sales I would like to reach on Etsy. This year I am at 640 sales as of today. I would like to make it to 1000 sales by the end of this year. 360 sales.
Hmmm....134 more days and 10 hours. YIKES!
So 360 sales in 134 days.... that would be like...2.6 sales a day. Well, I shall do my best! I know it is an aggressive goal, but I will be sewing my butt off and promoting as much as I can!

I also have plans to release a limited number of Tree Toppers. They are just like the finger puppets I made although in more styles. Some of the styles of critters didnt lend themselves well to hard play of little hands so having it on the top of the tree out of reach I can get a little bit more intricate. Owls, Bears, Foxes, Bunnies...etc! If you are interested in one be sure to email me ASAP at kelli@redmarionette.com so we can get you a custom listing.

Back to work for me!
Have a wonderful day everyone!

Trend Bible publication!

It is with great excitement that I announce that Beauregard the Owl and Spencer the snowman have debuted in their first publication!
They have been featured in the Trend Bible publication for Autumn/Winter 2011!
(Trend Bible, www.trendbible.co.uk)

This is a publication that projects trends and forecasts trends for major companies throughout the year. That is why they work so far ahead so marketing firms can decide on lines several seasons before!
I can tell you the boys (Beauregard and Spencer) are beyond excited, as am I!
